Library Guidelines
The CITCI Library is committed to providing a quiet, respectful, and resource-rich environment for study and research. All users are expected to observe silence, handle materials responsibly, and respect library policies. Borrowing privileges, computer access, and study areas are available to support academic needs.
Introduction
Welcome to CITCI Library. Our mission is to provide a welcoming space for learning, research, and community engagement. These policies and guidelines are designed to ensure that all patrons have a positive experience and that the library operates efficiently and effectively.
Library Hours
Standard Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Saturday - Sunday: Closed
Holiday Hours: The library will be closed.
Borrowing Policies
Library cards are available to CITCI Library patrons for a fee. School ID and proof of address are required for registration.
- Books: 2-week loan period
- Reference Materials: In-library use only
- Renewals: Items may be renewed up to two times if no holds have been placed. Renewals can be done in person.
- Returns: Items must be returned by the due date to avoid late fees. A book drop is available for after-hours returns.
Fees and Fines
Late Fees: 5 per day for each overdue item.
Lost or Damaged Items: Patrons will be charged the replacement cost plus a processing fee of $[amount].
Conduct and Behavior
All patrons must behave respectfully toward others. Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
No food is allowed in the library. Drinks must be in spill-proof containers.
- Quiet Zones: Designated areas are available for quiet study. Mobile phones should be silenced or turned off in these areas.
- Meeting Rooms: Available for reservation by community groups and individuals. Please see the front desk for availability and booking procedures.
- Internet Access: Computers and internet access are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Printing services are available for a fee of $[amount] per page.
- Use Policy: Internet access is for educational and research purposes. Inappropriate or illegal activities are prohibited.
Safety and Security
Familiarize yourself with the library’s emergency exits and procedures. In case of an emergency, follow staff instructions.
The library is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Patrons are encouraged to keep personal belongings with them at all times.

Feedback and Complaints
We welcome feedback on any aspect of library services. Suggestions can be submitted via our website or in writing to the library director.
Complaints should be directed to the library director in writing. The library will address concerns promptly and fairly.

The library reserves the right to amend these policies and guidelines as needed. Any changes will be communicated to patrons via our website and notice boards.
